Devil May Cry 5
This action-adventure hack and slash game was released on March 8th and is the fifth instalment of the Devil May Cry series. The game takes place five years after Devil May Cry 4 and follows Dante, Nero and a new protagonist named V as they attempt to stop the demon Urizen. Practice mode The Void allows players to experiment with enemies, weapons, moves and combos. Those new to the series can use the mode to gain mastery of the skills required to obtain the S style ranking. You will face off against enemies to see how your moves work and change the settings to have the enemy attack or to remain still.
This is a crossover fighting game featuring characters from different Manga series featured in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump anthology in celebration of the magazine’s 50th anniversary and was released on February 15th. There has been a steady stream of updates for this all-star anime fighting game and showcases characters from the Dragon Ball Z franchise. Along with showing off some iconic moves, charatcers Goku and Vegeta can be seen changing into their Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan forms, whereas all-round baddie Frieza reveals his Golden form.
Kingdom Hearts III
An action role-playing game, this is the twelfth instalment in the Kingdom Hearts series and a sequal to Kingdom Hearts II. This game was released in January and is a conclusion to the Dark Seeker sage, beginning with the original game. Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, returning protagonist Sora is joined by Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku in their search for the seven guardians of light as they attempt to thwart Xehanort’s plan to bring about a second Keyblade War. Their journey has sees them crossing paths with characters and visiting world based on different Disney and Pixar intellectual properties.
Ori And The Will Of The Wisps
Not yet released, this is an upcoming platform-adventure Metroidvania game and is a sequel to the 2015 title Ori And The Blind Forest. Those who loved the first Ori game and newcomers will join Ori and family as you all embark on an all new adventure to discover the mysteries beyond the forest of Nibel, uncover the hidden truths of those lost, and unravel Ori’s true destiny.
Stellaris: Console Version
This 4X grand strategy game revolves around space exploration, managing an empire, diplomacy and space warfare with other spacefaring civilisations. It was originally released in 2016 for Windows, OS X and Linux but has been released for Playstation 4 and XBOX One in February this year. Explore, trade, battle and build your own empire in procedurally generated galaxies and enjoy all of the extra content which has not been released for PC.
